What kind of journeys are undertaken?
• Hospital visits for treatments, appointments, outpatients
• Healthcare appointments
• Attendance at day centres and special needs clubs etc.
• Leisure, sports and social visits
What is the cost?
There is a minimum mileage charge and trips are calculated at a rate of 0.45p per mile, starting from the driver’s home address.
It has become increasingly important that we look to other revenue streams to ensure that our Community Transport scheme can continue to run to the high standard that it currently does.
Following a comprehensive review of our scheme, we have now introduced an annual Service Fee of £15 per service user.
This payment will prove to be hugely beneficial to the service. It will contribute to the core costs of the service and it would also allow us to achieve much more, including providing better training and recognition opportunities for our Volunteer Drivers.
All clients will be given a period of 3 months to pay this fee, and it can be submitted to us by cash or cheque.
A Service Fee letter and a stamped addressed envelope will be posted to you in due course.
How do I book?
Bookings should be made at least one week in advance.
We do our very best to meet all booking requests but there may be times when this is not possible.
We reserve the right to decline any journey request.
